Writing
Five Minute end-of-Year Writing Challenge
Students were given sheets of paper at random, face down, with our end of year writing prompts written on each sheet. Students had 2.5 minutes each to begin a story for their prompt, which included 2 vocabulary words. After the 2.5 minutes were up, students flipped their sheets over, and the sheets were randomly given to another student for them to write 2.5 minutes worth of story using 2 different vocabulary words. Students read their finalized story to the class!

Reading
"BYOB - Bring Your Own Book" and Class Party!
In our class reading time, students brought their own books to dive into while eating ice cream, chips, cookies, and other snacks to celebrate the last day of class!
Students also received all of the year's class work with notes and recommendations for summer.
For students who did not bring a book to class, they chose from the class library, or the Central Texas Library Selection.
